Lighting the World in the Johannesburg Stake, South Africa

Members and missionaries in the Johannesburg Stake, South Africa, lighting the world

On 2 December 2017, ten missionaries serving in Randburg, Sandton and surrounding wards  of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and some of the members got together to #LightTheWorld by quenching thirst in Johannesburg. They put together packets containing hot dogs, fruit and water. Everyone had a great time handing them out to homeless people and the Spirit was felt strongly. The greatest joy was taking on the challenge to Light The World!

And in Fourways, Nick Mavrodaris shared the spirit of Christmas with workers in his complex.

“Every year I like to sponsor our townhouse complex staff of about 18 to a Christmas Braai. They are so very appreciative that the pleasure is all mine. I pray I can be prompted to give more freely in the future as the Saviour gave.”
