Elder Artur J. Miranda

Elder Artur J. Miranda was named a member of the Third Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 1, 2017.  Elder Miranda received a bachelor of science degree in international relations from the University Independente in 1997 and a master’s degree in business administration from the European University, Lisbon in 2001.  From 1997 to 2006 he worked as a business development manager for Procter & Gamble.  He then went on to work for Balmain Hair Group as an international marketing director (2006–2007), Panasonic as a general manager (2007–2008), LG Electronics as a consumer electronics group director (2008–2009), and Luanday as a managing director (2009–2010).  In 2010 he began working for Coca-Cola as a country manager, becoming a regional franchise manager in 2014.  Elder Miranda has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Portugal Lisbon Mission, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, high councilor, mission presidency, and district president. Artur José de Matos Miranda was born in Lunda, Angola, on May 22, 1970.  He married Mónica Tulia Granja Cardoso in 1994.  They are the parents of two children. Elder and Sister Miranda reside in Johannesburg, South Africa.
